Being An Authority
Being an authority figure has never been easier in today’s digital world. Humans have been granted a platform, like this one, to share the knowledge they’ve gained to almost anyone in the world.
The hope is that this is done with goodness and intent to help. That’s what this blog is for. To help those who struggle to connect to others interpersonally in social and professional settings.
I personally struggled with social skills throughout my teenage years and it hindered my ability to succeed professionally. My self-confidence and lack of identity limited my belief in the talents and skills God had so clearly blessed me with. This led me through a difficult path of frustration, desperation, and despair.
Luckily, the good friends around me and my future wife saw who I actually am versus who I perceived myself to be.
One of my favorite brand names I hope to use one day is “Gane Perspective”. Engaging genuinely and curiously into other people’s perspectives has allowed me the ability to relate incredibly well with those I interact with. Asking those close to me how they perceived me opened my eyes to a newfound confidence I would have struggled to find on my own.
Having this new perspective encourages me to lead those I feel called to lead and do it with authority and confidence.
Who can you ask for a new perspective of yourself? What can you unlock? What authority do you have to share with the world?
